Robby Dearth, Realtor here, I just wanted to give a quick update on the Sonoma County Real Estate Environment during the Shelter-in-Place. As far as current escrows and transactions go – we are working diligently to keep everything together and moving forward – the majority of us are working from home, this includes Realtors, lenders, escrow officers, title officers and many others.
Showing properties has changed pretty drastically – We are currently only able to physically show vacant properties, with no more than two people present. In order to show these properties we will need to fill out a “Property Entry Advisory and Declaration” Form. This form is a California Association of Realtors form that essentially shows acknowledgment and awareness of Coronavirus and recommended safety precautions.
Whether you’re looking to buy or sell after the shelter-in-place is lifted, now is a good time to “get your ducks in a row”. Sellers, it would be wise to review guides on preparing your house for the market – Buyers, now would be a good time to get in touch with a lender, potentially get pre-approved, and get a Realtor to help you start the property search.
As we all know – this is a very dynamic situation and changes often. I have a very powerful team behind me keeping all of us updated and as safe as possible. If you have any questions or anything you’d like to add please feel free to leave a comment or contact me personally. If you know of anyone that could find this information helpful, please share and let them know that I am here to help.
